We tried this after arriving in the area. While waiting for a table a staff member pushed past me to het down the hall. Bumped my shoulder. Said nothing. We almost left.
We got a table in the bar area and our server was great. Attentive and prompt.
Food was okay. Not great.

Friendly staff
We had the most amazing experience at Da Roberta's!! Truly magical place. The staff was so fast, lovely and helpful. The food was INCREDIBLE and the place was lovely decorated. We had a group booking and they went above and beyond to make it professional, welcoming and they even had the menus printed with our logo!. I will most certainly book again to bring people here because In my opinion it has been one of the best food experiences I've had in Galway. Thank you so much!
I would like to report my work experience at this restaurant. I recently arrived in Ireland legally and with English proficiency, and I was hired by a Brazilian through a group.
On my first day, I started at 6 p.m. and finished at almost 3 a.m., even though the agreed shift was until 11 p.m. No overtime was paid. The following day, I was not paid and received no response — they simply disappeared.
I spent several days going back to the place and trying to contact them to receive the agreed €80 daily wage. After repeated attempts and stating that I would go to the police, I was paid only €40, which is half of what was owed.
In addition, the working and hygiene conditions were very concerning. The kitchen showed clear signs of poor cleaning. Plates, cutlery, and pans were washed in the same water, which can lead to cross-contamination. No gloves were provided for work, and no breaks were given during the shift.
On my first day, I was asked to carry out a full deep cleaning of the entire kitchen. After this work, my hands became visibly irritated and damaged the following day, suggesting exposure to cleaning chemicals without proper protection. I also experienced intense pain in my nails, as if they were raw, and remained in pain for about a week.
I am aware of other people who have gone through similar situations. I consider the work environment inadequate and would not recommend this experience. I have records and images that support these statements, including the condition of my hands and photos of the kitchen.
